I am interested in green living. I would like to find out about nursing opportunities in your area and also, if there is stabling available for horses. Thank you
Hi Sally, I would be very happy to talk to you more about what Mountainside Village and the larger Teton Valley area may have to offer. There are a few different clinics and hospitals locally, and there are definitely stabling opportunities in the area. Mountainside Village itself does not have stabling facilities. Please give me a call in our office if you'd like to have a slightly longer conversation about this or any other questions you may have! (208)787-6873.
My partner and I have studied built sustainability and international environmntal issues. I am wondering what kind of jobs and emploment would be available in the area. We have been considering the Teton Valley area, and looking into real estate investing and employment. Any good places to start?
Thanks for getting in touch. I would say that the Jackson Hole region is definitely a regional hotbed of conservation, sustainability, and wildlife management opportunities. What with two national parks as neighbors, a growing array of potential land use and resource challenges, and the personal interests and commitment of many people in this area, I would argue that this region is an exciting and challenging place to do sustainability work. In Teton Valley, and Victor specifically, efforts to institute smart growth planning, creative land management, and sustainable development are just beginning to really take shape. It is an exciting time, I feel, to be in this area.
As far as jobs go, I do know of one construction company that is looking for a sustainability director in Teton Valley, and I imagine there may be other similar opportunities of which I am not aware. In addition, there are several non-profits in Jackson that do related work and might be hiring. For a listing of local conservation non-profits check out: http://www.gycd.org.
If you are interested in that sustainability director position, let me know (dahvi@mountainsidevillageidaho.com) and I will get you in touch with those folks...
